Being average sucks.
The majority of folks are average. Being average means living a dull lacklustre life, following an average plan that others are sticking to from the Paleolithic age and having weird expectations such as doing activities that give you a moment of joy. It’s the same as pissing on a neighbourhood lawn and expecting people to join your movement.
Average is bullshit. You gotta wake up at the same hour daily, pick up your same shitty old bag and be off to your cubicle job. Well, that’s what being average is.
On the other hand, To be different than average, it all come down to the beliefs of top performers that set them apart.
Here’s what top performers do where average are reluctant to do.
Top performers don’t fall for flashes of inspiration. Instead, they rely on cumulative efforts
What sets high achievers apart is “the power lies in the doing” kind of thinking.
They keep their head down until something does come out of their soul.
They rip their soul to shreds and willingly go down to a point where they come up with some innovative idea.
No doubt that’s how the big inventions took place. They go far in their domain where the average person is unwilling to go.
On the other hand, the average person is hardwired to believe in some shitty miracles and expects something to come out of thin air and change his lifestyle. But top performers have a completely different mindset. They put relentless efforts in whatever they pursue. They stop hedging the bets and go all in.
Top performers believe in the “one size does not fit all” approach
“One size fits all” is a complete bullshit.
So many average bosses get it wrong when it comes to catering solutions to the corporate world.
They think what works for one might work for all but that is a complete bullshit approach until they meet with headbutt failure.
when I was in banking, tackling piles of work my dickhead boss follows this approach. He considers himself a big player but actually, he is a noob, thinking his skills and strategies can outperform anyone. He lays the same plans to resolve clients’ issues without considering that everyone has different problems.
The key takeaway is what works for one, might not work for everyone.
Top performers have a growth mindset
Poor mindset sucks your whole energy. You feel like a shit in the gutter left for a long-long time. An average person has the same mindset as of a noob. He processed every piece of information in his head as negative.
Top performers and the elite exhibit remarkable qualities. They favored the path of cumulative efforts rather than stroke of luck. They attribute their success to the efforts they put in.
Top Performers tackle fear head-on
Yes. Fear.
Without getting intimidated, they grow with it.
They master fear. They don’t let fear to fester.
Just think, what makes an average person shake like a leaf? It’s the fear of failure that sends chills down his spine. But the elite sees this as a challenge to overcome. They tackle every fear head-on and come out the other side.
